Fredric Lundén joined Betsson Group in September 2017 as Vice President for Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC). He established, and now leads a function for GRC as 2nd line of defence in a 3 lines of defence context. Based in Stockholm, in the Group’s listed investment company’s management team, reporting to the President and CEO and the Board of Directors, he is responsible for implementation and development of robust frameworks within the GRC- areas, throughout the Group.

Before Betsson, Fredric worked with legal and compliance matters in the Swedish banking group SEB with a key role in establishing an independent compliance function, and in many regulatory compliance projects. He led a team assisting the Head of Group Compliance to develop and run the function with compliance risk management, reporting, regulatory intelligence, contacts with regulators and certain global compliance areas.

Fredric has also worked as legal counsel at the Swedish FSA, co-authored a book covering Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism regulations in Sweden and initiated the Swedish Anti-Money Laundering Institute (SIMPT, www.simpt.se).

Fredric has a MSc of Laws (LLM) from the University of Stockholm in 1996. He was appointed Associate Judge at Svea Court of Appeal in 2003.
