Jean Paul Gauci

Head of Risk Services

In 2011, Jean Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Malta where he majored in Banking and Finance and Accounting. Following graduation, he moved to Glasgow where he pursued a Masters in Investment and Finance at the University of Strathclyde. After graduating with a distinction in 2012, he returned to Malta to pursue a career in the Financial Services industry. However, this was not the end of his academic journey. Over a decade later, Jean Paul pursued and obtained a Masters in Risk, Crisis and Resilience Management with the University of Portsmouth.

 

In 2012 Jean Paul started his career as a finance associate with a local fund administrator. Two years later he proceeded to join a leading local fund administrators in Malta as a fund administrator. In 2015 Jean Paul joined RiskCap International Limited as a Risk Associate where today he holds the position of Head of Risk Services. In his current position he leads a team of professionals specialising in Risk Management and Regulatory Reporting, while being PQ’ed by the MFSA and holding the position of Risk Manager for various financial services entities. Jean Paul also holds the position of a part-time lecturer with the University of Malta within the Banking and Finance Department at FEMA.
