Christine joined APS Bank in 2011 and has been working in the area of risk management since 2012. In 2023 she took on the role of Head of Enterprise Risk Management. As part of her role, Christine is responsible for instilling a risk intelligent culture throughout the Bank which is embedded in the way the Bank operates and covers all functions and activities. Moreover, Christine is accountable for the internal capital and liquidity adequacy assessments, and recovery and resolution planning. Christine helped develop the Bank’s risk register, presents risk reports and dashboards, and provides guidance and support to business functions and risk stakeholders to ensure that the Bank operates within the desired risk appetite. Christine is also the secretary of the Board Risk Committee, a role she has occupied since 2016.
An accountant by profession, Christine obtained a Masters in Accountancy after having graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree where she majored in Banking and Finance and Accounting, both from the University of Malta. Christine then furthered her studies in Risk Management and obtained the International Diploma in Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management in London. She is a Member of the MIA and a Graduate Member of the Institute of Risk Management
