Andrea Fumagalli is a Senior Executive with over 20 years of experience in IT and Cybersecurity, with a strong international track record and deep expertise in cyber defense, incident response, and large-scale security technology and operations. He holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano.

He currently serves as Vice President and Head of the Cyber Tech Practice at Grant Thornton, where he leads strategic initiatives in cybersecurity technologies and digital defense. Previously, he held senior leadership roles including Senior Director and Vice President of Engineering at global multinational organizations and leading cybersecurity vendors. In these roles, he drove worldwide programs in Automation and Artificial Intelligence for defense and security, supporting Security Operations Centers (SOC’s) serving global enterprises, law enforcement agencies, and government institutions.

Earlier in his career, Andrea served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Milan in the Faculty of “Computer Systems and Network Security”. He currently sits on Steering Committees and Boards of Directors of several companies. Andrea combines deep technical expertise with executive leadership, strategic vision, and strong communication skills, and has been a frequent speaker at international conferences for over 15 years.
