Armi Taipale is the Head of the Capital Markets and Infrastructure Unit within the Financial Markets Department at the Ministry of Finance. Her professional focus lies in the legal aspects of capital markets and the prevention of criminal activity, including anti-money laundering and related financial crime frameworks.

 

She has a strong interest in emerging phenomena such as virtual currencies and their broader impact on society and financial markets. In the context of Europe’s recent legislative surge, she brings valuable experience in stepping back to assess the overall regulatory landscape and its implications for markets and market participants, contributing meaningfully to high-level, strategic discussions.
