Ekaterina has worked for EGBA for 13 years, giving her a plethora of experience in the online gambling sector. All of this time she has been on the forefront of the sector’s regulatory and legal work in Brussels on issues such as AML, digital, sport and copyright, as well as being involved in national regulatory discussions all over the EU. Prior to EGBA, Ekaterina worked on complaint and infringement handling in relation to the legislation of DG Health and Consumers at the European Commission. Other experience includes working at the European Parliament and in a Brussels-based consultancy. Ekaterina holds a Ph.D in Health Policy from the Medical University- Sofia as well as an LL.M in European Law and a B.A. in European Studies, both from the University of Maastricht, The Netherlands. She speaks English, French, Dutch and Bulgarian.
