Malcolm Wright is Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at OKX. He is a recognized global authority on virtual asset regulation and compliance, with notable roles including as senior director at Dubai’s Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA), and as the former CCO guiding BitMEX through their US regulatory interactions. Malcolm has held leadership roles at Thomson Reuters (now Refinitiv/LSEG) where he oversaw the delivery of World-Check One to market, as well as overseeing product and technology for the world’s first KYC utility. He is noted as a key player in championing key virtual asset dialogues with the FATF, INTERPOL, and regulators, and as co-creator of the globally-accepted IVMS101 FATF Travel Rule data standard. Malcolm also speaks and trains on crypto compliance and regulatory topics to both crypto and banking audiences as well as governments.
