Marc Laine is a seasoned entrepreneur, governance expert, and business leader based in Guernsey. He is a Non-Executive Director at Aspida Group, Diligex partners, where he contributes his expertise in risk management, regulatory compliance, and business strategy to support organizations in navigating complex regulatory environments.
Marc has had a distinguished career spanning multiple industries, including technology, telecommunications, and environmental sustainability. He founded ESI Monitor in 2019, driving corporate responsibility initiatives focused on environmental and social impact. Before that, he successfully led C5 Alliance Guernsey, growing it into the island’s premier provider of IT services. Earlier in his career, he founded ATLAS Telecom in 1994, later selling it to Jersey Telecom in 2002.
Beyond business, Marc has been actively involved in public service, having served as an elected Member of The States of Guernsey during two terms and holding positions on several boards, including Guernsey Post and Guernsey Electricity. His leadership has earned him recognition, including the Confederation of Guernsey Business Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2002. With deep expertise in governance, technology, and sustainability, Marc remains a key figure in Guernsey’s business and regulatory landscape.
Aspida Group and Diligex (a Malta-based AML/CFT compliance advisory and technology company) are collaborative partners since 2023 jointly offering combined advisory and technological solutions in compliance, risk management and AML/CFT to the market in Malta.
