Michael Parnis

Michael Parnis is an experienced Human Resources Executive holding a BSc in HR from the University of Leicester. He has a demonstrated history of working in the utilities industry. He is highly experienced in Industrial Relations’ issues and ex trade union leader, as well as being a human resource professional skilled in Research, Customer Service, Employees’ relations, and interviewing skills. He served as member on various boards of directors amongst which, the Industrial and Employments Relations Board (IERA), The Malta Council for Economy and Social Development (MCESD) and the National Employment Authority (NEA). He represented the Maltese Workers on the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) based in Brussels from 2004 to 2014.

 

Mr Parnis is an ex-trade union leader of Malta’s largest trade union and occupied the post of Deputy General Secretary responsible for International Relations and Education for 14 years. He is presently employed as a Policy Consultant with the Ministry for Transport.
