Roberta was conferred a Doctorate of Laws from the University of Malta in 2007 and was called to the Bar in 2008.  She worked for a boutique law firm for the first seven years of her career, following which she specialized in regulatory compliance.  Roberta has headed the Legal and Compliance Function for a number of licence holders within the insurance sector, with exposure to both local and cross-border business.

At RiskCap, Roberta heads a team of compliance professionals with expertise in a wide scope of sectors within the financial services industry.  Together with her team, Roberta provides a number of clients with regulatory compliance services, including assuming the compliance function, regulatory reporting, regulatory gap analysis, compliance audits, compliance monitoring planning and training.
