Simon Zammit is the CEO of Malta Stock Exchange. He joined the exchange in 1991 during its establishment and has held various managerial roles, including head of IT, the Central Securities Depository, and Data Operations. Simon has a strong financial services and capital markets background with thirty years of professional experience in regulatory aspects, trading operations, information technology, and clearing and settlement.

He has led major projects for the exchange, including the implementation of electronic and remote trading systems and the integration of the clearing and settlement, and the electronic payment systems. Simon is a director of Malta Stock Exchange Institute and represents the Malta Stock Exchange in various international capital market forums such as FESE, WFE and ECSDA. He holds an MBA from Henley Management College and is a member of the Institute for the Management of Information Systems.
